Is there a difference or are these lashes just the same but packaged differently? To the naked eye, or to the average person, it's hard to tell much of a difference but to the lash connoisseur and the trained expert there is a huge difference. We love both these lashes for the different lash looks they create as we love to be able to create bespoke and individual lash styling to each of our lovely clients.
The synthetic Silk lashes are slightly matt in appearance and finer due to the tapered end being stretched more in the curling process. Having a longer tapered end makes the lashes more flexible giving a softer feel and are considered to closely mimic human hair. These lashes are great for adding length and natural enhancements.
The synthetic MINK lashes have a more structured curl and glossy finish that gives a more dramatic effect of the same curl and thickness of a Silk counterpart. The synthetic Minks whilst more rigid in shape are thicker throughout the lash. The lusture, sheen and colour of these lashes are like no other, especially when you have a very dense full set done by synthetic minks.
Which lashes should a technician use, or a client desire? The perfect answer would be, if you are looking for length AND volume, your lash technician should be using a blend of both!
