LASHbyFrancesca are searching for the “Face” of the business.  We are not looking for a stereotypical model, we wanted someone that our clients can relate to, a real woman wearing our fabulous eyelash extensions.

LASHbyFrancesca are proud to have Sinclair Model Management as their primary sponsor for the modelling competition to find the face of LASHbyFrancesca.  Sinclair Model Management is owned by Angel, who prior to her agency was a successful model.  Sinclair Management are about promoting Models of Diversity opposed to Models of Uniformity .

The agency represent male and female, fashion, editorial, commercial, classic, fittings, exhibition and catwalk models but their ethos makes them unique. SMM believe in promoting natural, healthy models more representative of regular people, models your audience can identify with and won't feel threatened by. They project confidence without having to conform to the stereotype of the thin, fragile waif or burly hunk.  Proud of their race, their shape and size, their age and regardless of any disability, SMM models are professional, inspirational and stunning who will engage and draw in attention rather than intimidate or alienate the client’s audience.

Angel Sinclair, the founder of Models of Diversity and Sinclair Model Management, is a former model herself; she started the campaign after appearing on Gok’s Miss Naked Beauty in 2008. Angel was struck by the great variety of beautiful women participating in the event and how that contrasted with the narrow range we see in the fashion industry. That’s when she decided, with Sally Williams, her co-founder, to promote the use of models that reflects diversity in society, in terms of race, shape, age and ability.  Angel is currently involved with her latest campaign Models of Diversity, a philosophy that beauty is not a quality limited to a select few but rather advocates for more diversity in models, and demands that the fashion and marketing industries recognise the beauty in women of all races, ages, shapes, sizes and abilities. The MoD mission is to change the face of fashion and modelling.

Angel says, ‘MoD uses top agency standard models, because not just anyone can be a model; a successful model must still have a special beauty and be able to sell a product. However, we reject the notion that only a very narrow range of ages, races, shapes and abilities are marketable.’

With SMM and the MoD campaign we at LASHbyFrancesca felt that this was a perfect fit to our business and an excellent start for our competition winner to be in the safe hands of Angel Sinclair.  LASHbyFrancesca are in full support of Angel’s campaign and know it is going to make a massive change in the fashion industry.
